Leonardo Paradiso

Biography


Leonardo graduated from both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Criminology at the Alma Mater University of Bologna, Italy, with 110 cum Laude.
During his Master's he had the great opportunity to study for one academic year at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
This academic exchange turned out to be a pivotal moment as it was here that he decided to enter the international multilateral development sector.
Leonardo currently works as Director of Partnerships and Youth Engagement with the Knowledge Foundation, swiss non-profit leading innovative projects to build AI, blockchain and VR based solutions to strengthen quality intercultural learning and education platforms.
Prior to entering the EdTech space, he worked for six years at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, where he was the leader of the Youth Empowerment component of the Global resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) and, before that, Consultant with the Education for Justice (E4J) Initiative.
His career in the international cooperation sector started with three interships he had with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) and the Council of Europe.
